Description

We are looking for an auto and equipment technician for our large fleet of equipment and trucks. The daily assignments would consist of maintaining and inspecting work trucks and equipment, assisting our facility crew in keeping the warehouse clean and organized and driving to job sites. We provide all the tools necessary for all types of maintenance and repairs! RESPONSIBILITES: Inspect and maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools Knowledge of computer OBD diagnostics and logging problems to be looked at Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to equipment functionality and longevity Preform oil changes and filter replacements Remove and replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. fluid leaks) Electrical repair and diagnostics Brake jobs and engine component replacement Keep mechanical shop and tool room clean and organized Maintain equipment and tools in good condition Operate forklift to load and unload trucks and trailers (we will train) Drive materials and equipment to job sites around Oahu sometimes with trailers Assist welder fabricator Drive to jobsites to lubricate and inspect equipment and trucks QUALIFICATIONS: Forward thinking mindset and troubleshooting skills High school diploma a must; Certification from a vocational school or currently enrolled in automotive and or diesel mechanical courses a huge plus. (willing to work around class schedule) Trustworthy and able to work solo and always find a project when direction is not given ( There is always something to do here ) Experience as a mechanic from generators to excavators to cars and trucks is a plus Knowledge of mechanical, electrical components of vehicles and equipment necessary Working knowledge or willingness to learn vehicle diagnostic systems and methods Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift) Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc. Good physical condition Valid Drivers License with clean record. Class 4, B, or A license is a plus. We can assist in classes to achieve a commercial license Able and willing to pull trailers of various sizes (Train on proper operation and safety will be provided) Job Type: Full-time Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Bonus pay Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
