This tour follows the Way of the Sorrowful Mother, also known as Via Matris, making use of the replicas and art of the Monastery for a reflection on the seven Sorrows of the Blessed Mother. By taking Mary as our model, we learn how to accept the suffering that befalls us daily. The Mother of Sorrows stands ready to help us.
The Rosary of Our Lady of Sorrows or the Servite Rosary uses the seven sorrows instead of the four groups of traditional rosary mysteries. The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Mother are: Mary accepts in faith the prophecy of Simeon; Mary flees to Egypt with Jesus and Joseph; Mary and Joseph seek Jesus lost in Jerusalem; Mary meets Jesus on the way to Calvary; Mary stands near the cross of her Son; Mary receives the body of Jesus taken down from the cross; and Mary places the body of Jesus in the tomb awaiting the Resurrection
Tour is limited to a maximum of 20 people
