SpeakersWalt Duncan, Duncan Oil Properties and Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Mr. Duncan is president of Duncan Oil Properties Inc., an independent oil and gas exploration and production company located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was previously employed by the company as a landman from 1989-1991 and has been the acting chief executive officer since 1995. Walt joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Oklahoma City Branch Board of Directors in 2019. Mr. Duncan is a board member of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and has served as the chair of the Technology Transfer Committee and currently serves as the chair of the Audit and Finance Committee. He currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma Energy Alliance and is the former chapter chair of YPO Gold of Oklahoma City. He has previously served on the boards of the Allied Arts, YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City, Petroleum Club, Calm Waters, and the Citizens League of Central Oklahoma and is the former chair of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. He currently is serving as the Energy Division chair for the United Way Capital Campaign. Mr. Duncan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in philosophy from DePauw University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.Aaron Chang, Continental Resources, Vice President Anadarko Basin. Mr. Chang and his team are responsible for executing sales and logistics strategies, developing independent fundamental perspectives and managing hedging strategies across all commodities. He has over 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, serving in multiple engineering and commercial capacities across both the midstream and upstream sectors. Prior to joining Continental Resources in 2017, Mr. Chang served in various leadership roles for The Williams Companies and Access Midstream (formerly known as Chesapeake Midstream) including Project & Commercial Development, Asset Management, and Engineering & Construction. Mr. Chang received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.Catherin Oster, Devon Energy, Asset Manager Mid-Continent. Catherine Oster is the Mid-Continent Asset Manager and Planning Manager for the Mid-Continent and South Texas Business Unit for Devon Energy. In these roles, Catherine leads a multi-disciplined team of engineers, geologists, and planning professionals to evaluate, plan and develop these oil & gas assets. This includes managing a $350MM annual capital budget, executing approximately 80 new wells, and managing a multi-year technical plan for the Mid-Continent asset. She joined Devon in 2004 and held various engineering roles before taking leadership positions in engineering, strategic planning, and asset management. Before joining Devon, she worked for Texaco in 2000 which became ChevronTexaco in 2001 as a both a production and reservoir engineer. During her career she has worked in the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford, Anadarko Basin, Powder River Basin, San Juan Basin, and the Black Warrior Basin. She has led various corporate initiatives such as Reservoir Engineering Center of Excellence, Analytics Center of Excellence, Integrated Reservoir Characterization, Appraisal Process, and Corporate Planning Process. She has a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and a master’s in business administration from the University of Oklahoma. Oster is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Catherine also serves on the board of directors for the University of Oklahoma MBA Advisory Board, Chair of the Board for Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma, mentor for the Women’s Energy Network, and a member of Crossings Community Church.
