TCYouth Inc. partnered with Vicktory Life, LLC and Halo Academy Inc. to bring awareness within the communities on the realities surrounding mental health and it’s signs and symptoms, by increasing the knowledge that mental health may affect anyone. Did you know that per www.mentalhealthfoundation.org, nearly 8 million children and adolescents in the U.S. suffer from a serious mental illness. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among the ages of 10 -34) 90% of those who committed suicide had experienced treatable symptoms. ½ of all chronic mental illnesses occur by age 14 and 75% by age 24. 50% don’t seek treatment We will host FREE workshops on a much needed topic and try to avoid stigmas surrounding mental health and discuss signs and symptoms and provide some coping mechanisms.
