Description
A $10 per person fee applies to this trip. Payment is required upon registration completion in Eventbrite. In consideration of the risk of injury while participating in this Women Hiking KS And Beyond hike to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park (September 19-23, 2022), I hereby knowingly and voluntarily hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participation in this “Activity”. I also hereby release and forever discharge; Cynthia Coughenour and Jeri Brungardt of any liability of any injury that I may suffer as a direct result of my participation. I am voluntarily participating in the aforementioned activity, and I am participating in the activity entirely at my own risk. I am aware of the risks associated with traveling to and from as well as participating in this hiking activity. All hikers should evaluate their own risk involved in hiking, be aware of your physical limitations & preview the trails prior to hike day. WHKSAB hikes are not set up as guided hikes. We will provide basic info on trails. Everyone will hike on their own (within their own group) & at their own pace. We recommend you always hike with at least one other person. Make sure if you attend by yourself at least one other person knows who you are. Please have emergency contact info & necessary medical info noted on a card in your backpack. It is a good idea to let someone in your hiking group know the location of your emergency contact info/medical info. We suggest each hiker utilize the AllTrails app during the hike & preview the trails prior to hike day. We will hike to beautiful waterfalls & lakes; we might get lucky & see an elk or moose. The views up top are spectacular! If you like to shop, Estes Park has wonderful shops, delicious taffy, souvenir stores & more t-shirts than you ever thought possible!! Specific hiking trails will be discussed at a later date. We will have planned group hiking set up for Tues-Thurs. RMNP timed entry reservations will be enacted again this year & looks to be the same as last year. This will be discussed with everyone as the time to order the reservations nears. (The date to order for Sept is Aug 1st.) Hikers make their own lodging accommodations. We will provide you some choices we are familiar with for lodging. You may stay wherever you would like & we will meet up at a location tbd. Here are some suggestions for lodging that we (Cindy &/or Jeri) have stayed at in the past or members of our group have stayed at & recommends: YMCA of the Rockies, 2515 Tunnel Rd, Estes Park (CINDY & JERI ARE STAYING HERE; the YMCA has lodges & small to big cabins); The Maxwell Inn, 553 W Elkhorn, Estes Park; Discovery Lodge, 800 Big Thompson Ave, Estes Park; Woodlands on Fall River, 1888 Fall River Rd, Estes Park; Blackhawk Cabins, 1750 Fall River Rd, Estes Park; VRBOs (use the app or website; there are literally hundreds in the area to choose from). Please start your research now as many smaller places fill up early.
