In honor of Bourbon Appreciation Month, we have put together a school like no other we have done. You will learn from and taste bourbons, whiskeys, and spirits from at least 5 different Colorado distilleries. Our instructors for the evening are the founders, owners, and distillers from some of Colorado’s best Distilleries. They will pour and share some remarkable Bourbon, Whiskey, and spirits with us, tell their stories, talk about the inspirations behind their labels and releases, and share their vision and perspectives on the industry, its history, and trends. Our presenters hail from: • Copper Skye Distillery out of Longmont, CO • Palmer Lake’s 300 Days of Shine • Black Hat Distillery from Colorado Springs, CO • Downtown Colorado Springs’s own 1350 Distillery • Momentum Beverage’s Melissa Ray • And more… As always, school starts at 6 PM, where you will enjoy a dinner featuring a chef-prepared meal based on a traditional Old Fashion. This surprising dish will feature the common flavors found in an Old Fashion infused into each item on the plate. As an example, maybe Chef will do a spin on Chicken and Waffles, or savory crepes with pulled pork and cherry bourbon BBQ sauce, or perhaps a spicey orange beef with a cherry torte dessert, who knows, all we can say is whatever Chef Dani (The UNcommons) puts on the plate will delight us and set the table for some amazing tastings. Each distillery will offer pours of selected taste bourbons, whiskeys, and spirits. They will tell their stories, talk about what you are tasting, teach us how to taste and identify flavors, talk whiskey, bourbon, and spirits. The camaraderie of these experts is sure to bring out the best stories! There will be a couple of pallet cleansing mini cocktails made with these spirits to introduce you to the other side of “Neat” and “rocks” and help you to appreciate these warm and wonderful spirits a whole different way. At every school we strive for fun, over the top, and different. As always, we will have give-aways, and lots to eat, taste, and learn.
