Description

5 Factors, 3 Days, 1 GoalImagine yourself at the top of Blue Hills. Your heart races, your legs burn, and you’re proud as hell. The air is crisp, the September sky is blue, and there's not part of you regretting the effort you’ve just put in - because it’s changed you, and for the better. Alongside 20 of your new best friends, you’ve just completed the notorious ascent that countless CrossFit Games athletes have traveled all over the world to test themselves against. You take a group photo and slowly (gingerly) make your way back down the base of the hill. Somehow you can’t stop smiling. All to say: CompTrain Camp is back.It takes a lot to become competitive in our sport. Gone are the days when an athlete could just accident their way onto the podium. What’s the secret of those who consistently climb the leaderboard? They recognize that just training hard isn’t enough anymore. They know they've got to train hard, sure. But also that they’ve got to train smart, recover well, sleep plenty, eat to fuel, and get their minds right. Over nearly 15 years of training athletes in the sport of fitness, we’ve seen that the athletes who dedicate themselves to the full spectrum of preparation are the ones ready to succeed. That’s why we focus on the five factors of optimal performance, and why our next CompTrain Camp is going to help you understand how they're the secret to unlocking the next level of your development.FAQsDo I need to be a competitive athlete to attend? While there are many definitions of a "competitive athlete," we believe it's someone eager to learn, willing to work hard, and who wants to understand more of the intricacies of the sport of CrossFit. If that sounds like you, you'll fit in just fine. That said, this is a training camp, and we will be training ... a lot. If you're not used to doing two or three separate pieces a day, for consecutive days, then it may not be for you. What will the day(s) look like?Expect two training sessions on both Friday and Saturday, and one on Sunday. Between training sessions, you'll spend time learning about the 5 Factors of Optimal Performance from Ben Bergeron and other CompTrain coaches. Each day will be full of opportunities to expand your fitness, strengthen your mindset, and build connections with others who want to work hard and chase the podium. What meals are covered with my registration? We will provide lunch on Sunday. All other meals are to be supplied by athletes, and we will have scheduled trips to Whole Foods throughout the weekend to ensure you have plenty of opportunities to stock up on everything you need. What transportation is included?CompTrain will provide transportation to and from the Marriott in Natick each morning and evening and to any offsite locations. Athletes are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the airport or other accommodations. Where should we stay? We've reserved a block of rooms at the nearby Courtyard Marriot Boston Natick. You can book a room with our group rate of $149 per night.
