SAVE THE DATE - End of Summer Ride & Happy Hour at Long Table! Join staff from Bicycle Colorado, DRCOG, and City of Denver for a happy hour, networking, and informal panel discussion. While enjoying each other’s company, refreshment, and late summer sun, we’ll discuss ongoing statewide, regional, and local efforts to grow equitable access to safe multimodal transportation. Appetizers will be provided with the purchase of an event ticket. About this event When: Wednesday, September 14th 4:30 – 7 pm. Where: If you want to join us for the group ride (2 miles), meet us at 4:30 on the southeast corner of York and 23rd Avenue (west edge of City Park). Route is generally flat. The group will take off by 4:40pm. If you prefer to skip the ride and join for networking and the panel conversation, great! Emily Kleinfelter (Safety/Regional Vision Zero Planner at the Denver Regional Council of Governments) • An overview of and the latest on DRCOG’s Region Vision Zero Planning efforts and Complete Streets prioritization analysis work. • The exciting potential around the regional pursuit of a Safe Streets for All grant. Mike Salisbury (Transportation Energy Lead at City of Denver) • An overview of Denver’s successful e-bike rebate program including what’s been accomplished to date and what’s next for the coming months / years? • Tips and key lessons learned for other communities throughout Denver metro looking to stand up an e-bike program.
