Tenaj Gueory - Woman to Watch Melanie Parker - Up Next Award Kayla Lavon - Community Champion Rozalyn Wingate - Teacher of the Year Kim Webb - Mentor of the Year Braxton Legacy Foundation- Organization of the Year Sisterhood of Towson University - Partnership of the Year Janay Patience - Business Woman of the Year What is Got the Intelligence to Rule my Life? G.I.R.L. Inc. (Got the Intelligence to Rule My Life) is a 501c3 that mentors and nurtures young girls (ages 10-18) whose parents are/were incarcerated, deployed by the military, or absent in their lives. Girls participating in this program: -Have a better understanding of their unique skills, talents, and traits that make them unique. -Discover their purpose, establish an exciting life vision, and set goals to achieve their vision. -Develop an external network of supportive mentors who care about their success and growth. -Have fun making new friends and socializing with like-minded peers -Visit centers of higher education and experience cultural arts -Learn essential life skills they need to live a productive, healthy, and balanced life.
