Join us for an outdoors concert in downtown Frankfort on Thursday, Sept 8, featuring Ben Sollee and Mark Charles, coming together to help the libraries of Eastern Kentucky rebuild! The schools in Letcher County lost tens of thousands of books in the recent floods and all of their shelving. Please bring hard-cover book(s) that are new or in great condition, or a monetary donation for the schools. As a cellist, songwriter, and storyteller he has toured the globe, sometimes by bicycle, performing his original music. Mark Charles https://www.markcharlesmusic.com Mark is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Louisville, Kentucky. Primarily known as the principal songwriter and vocalist for the indie-folk band, Vandaveer, he opted for his given name for his solo endeavor. His debut solo LP, Calamity Strikes, will be released on October 7th.
