Navigating a scheduled/unscheduled hospital stay can at times be dreaded and at times confusing. There are often many questions left unanswered, even as there are many important decisions to be made. We’ll address best practices for processing information and making informed decisions. Abi S. Pineda is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Accredited Case Manager (ACM). He has over 25 years of healthcare experience, in both psychiatric and acute medical settings. After beginning his healthcare career at UTHealth Harris County Psychiatric Center, Abi transitioned to Memorial Hermann Health System, where he has worked for the past 23 years. Currently, he directs Case Management at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.
