Celebrate Indigenous People’s Day with Roberts and Canon

Join Roberts and Canon for this incredibly special performance featuring traditional indigenous singing and dancing from members of contest-winning powwow drum group, Warpaint. Lead singer Kaya Little Turtle and his relatives come from the Lumbee and Tuscarora Nations in North Carolina. Also featured is Stephanie Big Eagle, contemporary powwow dancer and handpoke tattoo artist based in Fountain Square. Stephanie is representing the Yankton Sioux people currently living in South Dakota and Nebraska. Giovanni Sanchez, our Roberts Camera video sales lead, and his daughters will also be sharing contemporary powwow dances, representing the Nahuatl and Navajo Dine peoples. Attendees will have the honor of photographing this performance with loaner cameras and lenses from Canon. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the non-profit group, Healing Arrows Indigenous Social Justice and Wellness.
