This course will be held IN-PERSON at 1441 N Delaware Street, Indianapolis Indiana 46202. There will not be zoom access to join. You must be in-person at the venue. There are 12 tasks of learning Motivational Interviewing. This Intermediate/Advanced Motivational Interviewing training is for those who have had prior training comparable to a full day of training. The focus is on practicing the more complex tasks of MI as well as "Thinking" MI and the strategic use of the SPIRIT and Micro-Skills. The second half of the training will focus on how to develop competence in MI through deliberate practice, basic coding, feedback, and coaching. There will also be discussion at the end of the day of how to Integrate MI with your other skills. Trainer: George Brenner M.S., LCSW, LMFT, LCAC has a master's degree in Psychology from the University of Evansville. George is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Clinical Addictions Counselor in the State of Indiana.
