About this event No one wants to think or believe that they are more at risk for a violent encounter, but the truth of the matter is that real estate agents are a targeted and at risk occupation. There are various factors indicating why this is, and its not surprising to see that 33% of real estate agents have reported feeling uneasy and unsafe at least once during an in-person meeting with clientele. Using a nationally accredited curriculum, Good Shepherd Defense and Training uses civilian, law enforcement, and military principles to bring together a course that can be applied in the most dire of circumstances. While this course is geared and directed towards real-estate agents, anyone can take this course. We encouraged agents and their family to attend to get a better break down and complete understanding of the risk-factors involved with the occupation, and some countermeasures to limit the possibility of a violent encounter. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? There is no age requirement for the course. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? We are located at the TacShack in North Peoria. Please utilize the North Parking Lot and use the entrance located by the flag pole! What can I bring into the event? We provide all that is required for the class (student materials, course materials, food, refreshments, etc.) You should bring the items that will be emailed to you in the course instructions after your reservations have been made. What's the refund policy? We do not offer refunds, but we do allow rollovers. Meaning if there is a need to not attend the course, you may roll your slot over to the next available one. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes. You may transfer the ticket to whomever you may wish. This is the easiest way to "gift" a class to someone. Why take our courses? Our course focuses more than “just what you need to know” to get by, or the absolute “minimum”. We drive home the sincerity and importance of the subject matter. Using real world experience from civilian, law enforcement, and military skillsets we push to increase confidence and skill, no matter the subject. Mission Statement Our passion, is to instruct people to become confident with their firearm; while responsibly training them to arm themselves and be ‘on watch’ within their community. Our philosophy is simple, the more firearms in the hands of properly trained Shepherds, the better.
