This Plant Tour will be hosted by PCI IW & Dukane Precast - Lunch will be provided PCI of Illinois and Wisconsin is a chapter of the Precast Concrete Institute (PCI).PCI-IW is dedicated to increasing the use of precast, prestressed concrete products in the Illinois and Wisconsin transportation and commercial construction markets by cooperatively marketing our member's design, manufacturing, and construction expertise. Dukane Precast, Over the past four decades, Dukane has been an industry leader in taking a "forward-thinking" approach to achieve Precast Solutions for our customer's needs. Some of the most recent examples are; the adoption of innovative lightweight mix designs--allowing for dramatic cost savings on challenging projects, inclusion of radiant floor tubing cast into our floor panels at our plant—providing some of the most energy-efficient building designs in the country, and designing a precast floor system that allows for an open truss area underneath the concrete floor surface—giving the contractor room to install both mechanical runs and canned ceiling light fixtures without having to construct a "drop ceiling". Attendees will observe firsthand how designs and engineering details are executed in the precast manufacturing process. They will also observe the entire precast and prestressed manufacturing process from engineering and connections, forms set-up, casting and finishing. Attendees will gain a better understanding of precast and prestressed capabilities and related quality issues. Attendees will learn how precast fits within the entire building system and how to specify precast concrete accurately and safely.
