Calder Allen at Peggy's Porch PartyWe are excited to announce Calder Allen will be performing at Peggy’s Porch Party on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 6 p.m .- 8:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to see Calder play in an intimate setting - he just played at Lollapalozza in Chicago. Please come out to support this local upcoming artist. Doors at 6:00 p.m. and music will begin around 6:30 p.m. This is an outside event. Weather permitting. What to Bring: Chair or blanket, snacks, and beverage Please be vax'd or have a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event. Calder Allen Peggy's Porch Party Calder Allen Bio: At only 19 years of age, Calder Allen is one of the newest rising acts to emerge out of Austin, Texas. Both audibly and lyrically beyond his years, Allen is a prolific singer-songwriter and self-taught guitarist who completed the recording of his first album in August 2021 at none other than the historic Arlyn Studios, shortly followed by his inaugural performance at Austin City Limits Music Festival. His debut album, produced and engineered respectively by icons Charlie Sexton and Jacob Sciba, is slated to be released in June of 2022, featuring a host of incredible guest artists. A fifth generation Austinite, Calder Allen’s natural ability and love for music is embedded into his DNA; among his music inspirations includes his grandfather Terry Allen, the legendary visual artist, and Buddy Holly Walk of Fame songwriter. His album producer Charlie Sexton, and other prolific artists like Gary Clark Jr., Caamp, Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt are also impactful influences on Allen’s music. Outside of music, though also his sources of constant inspiration, Allen enjoys fly fishing, rock climbing, and practicing conservation in the great outdoors.
