The Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE) is an Atlanta-based nonprofit with more than 10 years of experience advancing policies and institutional actions that promote racial equity and shared prosperity for all in the growth of metropolitan Atlanta and the American South. In partnership with the Atlanta Regional Collaborative for Health Improvement (ARCHI) and Neighborhood Nexus, PSE has led the creation of a tool called the Metro Atlanta Racial Equity Atlas (MAREA). This immersive, story-centric tool combines personal narratives, interactive community data, and historical background with an explicit focus on advancing racial equity. MAREA will help users better understand the systemic nature of racism and segregation, its implications, and how to communicate and address it. The goal is for these stories to inspire residents and help them develop connections with partners who can help advance their work in equity. Please join community leaders, decision-makers, policymakers, nonprofit leaders, and community members on Tuesday, September 6, from 12 to 2 pm at the Gathering Spot for the official launch of MAREA.
