It’s time to reach out and reconnect! Join Eventbrite and Born This Way Foundation for Re.Mixer, a FREE daytime festival on Sept. 10 at High Tide, where we’ll come together to celebrate, express ourselves, and meet each other with the encouragement we need to support our mental health. Come as your truest, boldest self and be ready to mix it up with some of LA’s most vibrant event creators. Expect moments of reflection, creative expression, and dance — soundtracked by a LA DJ duo Goddollars & Paradise. Born This Way Foundation will lead a panel discussion on mental health, and there will be plenty of time to relax and connect with friends (or make new ones) over locally loved snacks. Re.Mixer LA Lineup:Breathwork For Well-Being with Maryam Ajayi | 1:30pm As the founder and CEO of the lifestyle platform Dive in Well, Maryam Ajayi (she/her) catalyzes social and cultural transformation by centering the well-being of marginalized people and advocating for inclusion and equity in the wellness industry. At Re.Mixer, she’ll lead a Breathwork workshop designed to help you cultivate well-being in order for you to stay grounded, centered and more confident in yourself. Queers Reading Poetry by Cuties LA | 3:00pm Cuties Los Angeles, led by Sasha Jones (she/her), is a Black- and queer-owned community space providing resources and events to the LGBTQIA+ community. For Remixer, Cuties has curated a lineup of five LA-based queer and trans poets who will share their work and stories, while also giving space for attendees to share. Featured poets include: Thabile Makue (they/them) — @mamasekola Joré Aaron (she/her) — @jo.herself Nancy Azcona (she/he/they) — @nancyazc Valerie, darling. (she/her) — @softcorekitsch Jaden Fields (he/him) — @thedappermrjaden Dance Recess with Bob’s Dance Shop | 4:00pm Bob's Dance Shop is the vibe maker, the body movers, and the professional ice melters. Bob stands for Be Our Best, and the troupe travels the world to create a paradise for self-expression. At Re.Mixer, Bob's Dance Shop will spread good vibes through dance, helping to build connections across generations and cultures. DJ set by Goddollars & Paradise Goddollars and Paradise are resident DJs at LA’s beloved club night, A Club Called Rhonda. The two brothers and second-generation selectors have been lighting up dancefloors all over the world for the past 10 years, presenting decadent parties that celebrate the past, present, and future of dance music. For Re.Mixer LA, they’ll spin through brightly colored disco, classic house, and beyond. Mental Health Panel with Born This Way Foundation | 2:15pm Join Born This Way Foundation for a conversation featuring local mental health advocates on how we can be there ourselves and each other while deepening our community connection. Accessibility:Our venue, High Tide, has a zero tolerance policy for harassment and discrimination. Restrooms in the venue are gender neutral and ADA accessible. The entrance to the venue is ADA accessible as is a section of the bar counter.
