Inspired by the 1920s Mirror Ball last hung at Cowtown Ballroom, join us for a special performance by Empire Dance Academy. Ashleah England, an artist and creator will transport you with her movement and embody the era, reflective of this unique piece of history.
Ashleah is a recent graduate from UMKC’s Conservatory Dance Program, receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in ballet and modern. She has had the privilege to work alongside Williams Henry Dance Company, Charlotte Street Foundation, Empire Dance Academy, and various choreographers such as Ali Pleger and Caroline Dahm. Ashleah is honored to be able to showcase herself along with her work in this intimate setting at the Kansas City Museum.
Your ticket includes Meet & Greet, brief talk with museum’s Curator of Collections, Lisa Shockely; and special performance in the theater.
