The Allina Health Cancer Institute (AHCI) is pleased to sponsor its 2nd annual event that brings together the many talents and passions of clinicians devoted to solving the problem of cancer across the entire spectrum from prevention to survivorship. *Attend in-person or virtually. OVERVIEW: This year, the focused sessions have tracks on timely issues including Population Health and Health Disparities; Survivorship; Clinical Research; and Cancer Treatment Innovations. The symposium goal is to offer content for both primary and specialty providers, nurses and other health care providers as we deconstruct the meaning of innovation and challenge how we think about cancer care delivery moving forward. Walk away with practical solutions and key clinical strategies to share with colleagues as we reimagine cancer care. TARGET AUDIENCE: Oncologists and oncology related professionals, primary care physicians, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, pharmacists and other health care providers interested in oncology care. OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant should be better able to: Identify appropriate screening frequencies based on evidence based practice guidelines. Manage post treatment oncology patients in primary care setting. Identify novel therapies that may be appropriate in patient's treatment plan. Utilize evidence-based interventions when caring for specific tumor types. Utilize available databases to identify appropriate clinical trials and enrollment process. Allina Health recently engaged in a population health, value-based contract with its largest commercial payer, including immediate implementation of strategies to address oncology costs.
