The mission of the South Central Community Based Initiative (SCCBI) is to facilitate each mental health consumers recovery by improving their quality of life, by assisting them to assume increasing responsibility over their lives, and to help them function as actively and independently as possible in the community. The SCCBI helps identify needs in the community through data collection and research provided by local service providers and government entities.
The SCCBI Mental Health Conference is focused on providing up to date information regarding methods and techniques to managing mental health within ourselves and the people we serve. This conference is intended for mental health professionals and practitioners, nurses, social workers, case managers, LADC’s, primary care physicians, community support workers, rehabilitation workers, law enforcement, and group home staff. Local presenters and speakers offer their advice and expertise on trending topics to attendees who want to stay up to date in a rapidly changing world.
