Description

Throughout the year, we work with community partners to organize Neighborhood Litter Walks. These are low-intensity events, excellent for casual adventures with families. At each walk, volunteers follow a local guide for roughly 90 minutes, collecting lightweight litter in public streets and pathways, followed (or preceded) by a social hour at a nearby restaurant or public gathering place. We'll provide all the equipment, you provide the helping hands! On Friday, September 16th, we'll join the town of Cheswick, PA at their back-to-school ice cream social where we'll be distributing Cleanup Kits. Between 6:30 and 7:00pm, we'll take a walk through the streets collecting litter and getting to know the backroads of this beautiful riverfront community. All volunteer can choose to keep their Cleanup Kits (Buckets, grabbers, gloves, and sanitizer) so they can continue to collect litter on their own schedule.
