Looking for a primary/lead guitarist (also looking for a hybrid rhythm guitar/keyboardist, so if that's more you, keep reading as well)! I'm a lead singer/multi-instrumentalist and myself, a drummer, and bass player currently make up the group. Expanding to a 4 (and hopefully 5) piece with you on board! The three of us play in respective working cover bands and are coalescing this group as an original band, primarily around a broad batch of songs I've written to start with. Rock n roll with colors of the influences below. Looking for guitarists in the mold of: Adam Hann, Johnny Marr, Adam Granduciel, The Edge, Jonny Buckland, Brian May, Lindsey Buckingham, the Hippo Campus guys, Noel Gallagher, Albert Hammond Jr, Robin Guthrie...along those lines. Ideally you're someone who really cares about sound and has the ability to shape it (aka good-sounding gear and pedals haha). Huge bonus if you can sing and are able to add harmony vocals. New Wave: The Cure, New Order, Psychadelic Furs, The Smiths, INXS, Duran Duran, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Cocteau Twins basically the 80's (+ dreampop, shoegaze) Distortion: 30 Seconds to Mars, Fall Out Boy, The Maine, My Chemical Romance, Blink 182, 90's Green Day, that fun stuff. Lighter Fare: Dylan, John Mayer, Elton John, Paul Simon, Dispatch, The Avett Bros, other Folk, Classical, Choral, Jazz, Musical Theater, etc. Strong Preferences : - Can sing harmony - Lives in city of Chicago, but close by will do - In your 20s or 30s - Not an asshole?
