Our goal for this event is simple. We want to pull together the creative fibers stitched into the fabric of this neighborhood, to recognize the positive contributions from our creators - each musician, artist, & vendor – to our local area & bring those thriving communities together into one place. We believe this event, like Fishtown, will continue to thrive and serve as a beacon of cultural celebration across the city by offering creatives a unique and inclusive platform to share and showcase their talents. Our sponsors & participants all share the same sense of community we hold so dear & are committed to helping create & maintain a human & impactful experience for everyone. Fishtown Music & Arts is an idea 8 years in the making. Founder Anthony Talarico & his wife Nikki bought their first home here in 2014. In that time they have watched the Fishtown community and culture grow into one of the most unique neighborhoods in the country. The area has produced some of the best food, art, & music around & has the capacity to support a large neighborhood festival highlighting our local culture. 6 months ago Anthony & his business partner, Onur Yilmaz, decided it was time to bring this idea to life & began planning the block party.
