MIX Design Day is back in session! MIX Southwest Michigan First invites the creative community to join us as we explore CONTRAST. Contrast is found all around us. It is a key component in good design, it is evident in night and day, in good versus evil, and top and bottom. It can also be seen in our daily lives, in those we work with, how we communicate, our backgrounds, our upbringings, in our community, in our preferences and what we feel. Join us as we immerse ourselves into recognizing, finding value and celebrating our diverse viewpoints and realities. This fully in-person, interactive and fun event is designed to engage designers and creatives representing all disciplines and generations. The more diverse, the better! Diversity is a superpower! Program Overview CONTRAST | Generations – Moving Together Into the Future For the first time in history, there are four generations in the workforce embracing changing technology, communication platforms and a new style of work. This session will explore things to think about as you navigate the ever-changing world of business and life! CONTRAST | Culture - Through the Lens What you see is only the tip of the iceberg! This interactive design workshop will challenge you to explore multiple spheres of influence for enhanced creativity and will explore where our inspiration comes from based on where we are and who we surround ourselves by. CONTRAST | Side Hustle - Where Passion, Talent and Purpose Converge The changing landscape of work has many people reevaluating their work life integration. This engaging session will help you discover your inner sense of purpose and driving force. CONTRAST | Communication - The Known and the Unknown Communication preferences, platforms and styles are changing faster than the seasons. Conflict and clarification are a necessary part of sharing your ideas and needs effectively. During this session we will explore ways you can save time, energy ,and aggravation, by using communication to your advantage.
