As you know, September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month, which is the most common inherited blood disorder in the United States and affects millions of people around the globe. This cause is near and dear to me as my 1st cousin/brother, Clifton Kirkman II, has been living with the disease for over 34 years. For my upcoming 30th Birthday, I’ve partnered with Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Michigan Chapter, raise awareness about the disease, treatment, clinical trials and how those in my network and beyond can support. The evening will feature special performances, 360 photo booth, bites and Open Bar.
