Seattle Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 11am till 7pm at the Seattle Center Armory, Mural Amphitheatre and Fisher Pavilion. This is a free event. The Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival serves to promote, perpetuate and share the Hawaiian culture in the Pacific Northwest by enriching and strengthening the Hawaiian community and celebrating the arts and culture of Hawai'i. Pre-Festival workshops will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Seattle Center Armory Lofts from 9am till 4pm. Workshops include Beginners Ukulele, Writing Songs on the ‘Ukulele by Aldrine Guerrero, The Evolution of the ‘Ukulele with Joe Souza, Beginning ‘Olelo Hawai’I, Haku Mele with Kumu Kahanuola Solatorio, Flowers of Hawai’I Illustration and Hand Lettering 101 with Kea Peters and Kupe’e Shell Bracelet and Lei Humupapa with Pattie Hanna. On Sunday, September 11, 2022, ceremonies open at 11am followed by musical and hula performances on the Armonry Stage and Alaska Mural Stage. Headlining this years event is 2020 Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winner Ei Nei at 5:45pm. Special Guest Appearances by 3 Time Grammy Award Winner Kalani Pe’a at 3:45pm on the Alaska Mural Stage. Aldrine Guerrero co-owner of Ukulele will be performing at 1:45pm on the Kanile’a Armory Stage. More information is available at seattlelivealohafestival.com.
