As Field Technician, you will coordinate the servicing of the company the effective manner and guaranty a high level of customer service. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. - Perform major and minor repair on big and small generator models. - Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting - Perform generator configuration re-wire. - Perform generator controller programing - Perform load bank procedure. - Perform start up on new generator units. - Repair and adjust transfer switches. - Perform alternator trouble shooting and repair. - Perform generator parts and accessories replace. - Assist in performing major and minor preventative maintenance on big and small generator models. - Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner and anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs Skills and abilities: - Electrical diagram reading and interpretation. - Electronic diagnostic tools usage. - Able to test current and voltage in a safe manner - Repair and /or replace damaged parts on generators - Ability to operate a computer and fill out reports - Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools - Must demonstrate technical knowledge of electrical generator systems and related engine mechanical failures. - Must be able to use standard hand tools that includes, but is not limited to, torque wrenches, electric or pneumatic screwdrivers, and ball drivers - Knowledge of computer systems Desired Experience: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of generator systems from 8kW to 2800 kW preferred - Minimum 4 years’ experience with Diesel and propane generators - Fully trained on kohler and John Deer products.
