Cultivate the life you want by saying "Yes"! Black Girls With Green Thumbs calls mothers from across the Philadelphia area to self-reflect on their personal and children's need to thrive in community. On Sunday, September 25th we invite you and your children to immerse yourself in nature for the second annual They Didn't Know We Were Seeds: Family Wellness Retreat. At the retreat you and your family will: be free to let go find your tribe nurture curiositybreak through loneliness Together with other women and their children, mothers will enjoy a beautiful day of restoration and exploration in the woodlands of Philadelphia. During this wellness retreat, families will engage in activities together and apart like, meditative movement for mom, a nature hike for children, and art for all! Black Girls With Green Thumbs will gather some of our favorite Black and women wellness practitioners and creatives to lead workshops. The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education is will even lead nature activities for the children. Over lunch we will hear from keynote speakers, Erica & Milah of Good Moms Bad Choices2 uncensored, outspoken moms who are redefining modern motherhood and breaking life’s archaic stereotypes. The @goodmoms_badchoices podcast is in the Top 1% of podcast in the world. They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds is open to mothers, children of all ages (best suited for School Age), expectant mothers, grandmothers, and other female guardians or caretakers. Children 4 and under must be accompanied by parent/guardian or responsible older sibling/family member during child-centered activities. Childcare is not available. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please bring reusable water bottles.
