Description

DETROIT NONPROFIT DAYManaging an impactful and sustainable nonprofit is about more than grants. It is about being fully armed with the knowledge, skills, resources, and relationships required to be both operationally and programmatically successful. Moreover, with access to philanthropic partners who care about and can support your work, your nonprofit is poised for growth and long-term prosperity. Detroit Nonprofit Day (DND) is a two-day event comprised of workshops, fireside chats, plenaries, networking, and skills-building to strengthen Detroit’s dynamic nonprofit and social enterprise communities. The event unites leading industry experts with professionals seeking to learn and acquire the tools necessary to build and grow impactful programs, sustain their operations, and ultimately fulfill their missions. DND is brought to you by MP Consulting Group, a non-profit consulting firm led by industry leader Monique Phillips, in partnership with The University of Detroit Mercy School of Social Entrepreneurship. DND 2022 PROGRAMMore than 200 individuals will acquire first-hand insights from experts at the area’s top philanthropic organizations such as The Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) and IFF on what it takes to run a successful nonprofit or social enterprise. This year’s theme, “Back to Basics: Building Blocks to Success,” symbolizes nonprofits’ transition to normalcy from the pandemic while implementing lessons learned to better prepare for unforeseen disasters. Whether you are an emerging leader looking to network, expand your knowledge, and learn best practices within the sector, or an experienced professional seeking growth strategies and insight on the current and future trends of the industry, this conference is for you. Highlights of the two-day event include:• 15 workshops to choose from with topics ranging from corporate and philanthropic fundraising; utilizing technology in the fundraising space; financial management and budgeting; board development and much more! • Pitch competition where nonprofits compete for on-the-spot grant funding! • Fireside chat with keynote speaker (TBD). • An exclusive pre-conference networking soiree hosted by Marygrove Conservancy on Friday, September 23. • ‘Birds of a Feather’ facilitated dialogues sessions that engages participants to process what they’ve learned, get answers to lingering questions, and network. Please check back regularly or sign up to DND’s contact list to receive the latest updates on event programming, keynote/guests speakers and other exciting news!
