Job Title: Tower Technician Location: Birmingham, AL Position Summary: Seeking a Tower Technician to perform maintenance/installation of wireless cell sites. Responsibilities: Familiarity with antennas, necessary cabling and grounding, and GPS equipment Electrical installation and testing Site maintenance such as painting, equipment maintenance, and clean-up and removal of trash Assisting in tower work (climbing required) Ensuring safety standards are met daily Climbs and works on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: Climbs and works on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment. 2+ years’ experience installing and servicing cell towers and comparable structures Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc. Familiarity with Climber Safety, OSHA or NEC Standards.
