Bi-Monthly Pay, 1099 Position. Dog walkers/Cat Sitters make $20-$26+ an hour (not including travel time). $39 a night per dog boarding in your home. We’re a boutique pet-sitting company looking for a dog walker/cat sitter with availability Monday - Friday. (There are some weekend gigs available as well, but we’re really in need of weekday dog walkers). Primarily in the Central/South Austin area. We are also looking for in home dog boarders with an enclosed (escape-proof) yard with dog-friendly people and pets for our cage-free boarding services. It’s the perfect side gig for someone who works from home (or who already boards dogs and is looking for extra clients). We are looking for dog boarders in the Cedar Park/Pflugerville areas, as well as South/Central Austin. This is a fairly low stress job where you spend time outdoors with furry “co-workers” without having to interact with difficult human personalities in a typical work environment. (Clients tend to be very nice to the people they entrust with their beloved four-legged family members). However, the position does require someone who is a self-starter, detail-oriented and highly responsible. This is not a job for someone who needs to be constantly checked in on and heavily supervised. And because of the nature of the work, being flexible to changing needs of clients is a must. We try to maintain a manageable schedule and client list in order to guarantee availability for our existing clients. We’ve been in Austin for ten years and have many lifelong clients who appreciate the reliability and personal touch we provide. We have the responsibility of returning people’s pets safe and happy, so staying on top of and preventing escapes and injuries is of the highest priority. We prefer people with experience working with animals, but will train highly responsible individuals who take the safety and security of our clients as seriously as we do. We also are given access to people’s homes, so honestly and personal accountability is a given. A background criminal check of all of our sitters is required.
