Preble Street is currently seeking a Full-Time Custodial Technician to work as part of the Facilities team. Duties of the custodial technician include but are not limited to: cleaning bathrooms and showers; sweeping and cleaning floors; dusting; vacuuming; washing surfaces; trash removal; restocking supplies; and cleaning windows. These duties require extended periods of standing and walking, with frequent bending, reaching, pushing and pulling of cleaning equipment and supplies. Heavy lifting, working with cleaning chemicals, and going up and down stairs are necessary to the regular tasks associated with this position. Schedule available: Sunday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm In addition to having a basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and of safe work practices, candidates must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and early mornings. Candidates should also have an understanding of issues related to homelessness and poverty, an understanding of low-barrier services challenges, and the ability to establish boundaries with a diverse population.
