We're hiring Mail Clerks for University of Alaska Anchorage! This position provides support as a member of the Mailroom/Central Receiving team, processing and delivering mail throughout campus and assisting in mailroom counter operations. May assist in other areas of GSS as needed and deemed appropriate. We are hiring two positions from this posting. General Support Services includes Seawolf Postal Express (Mailroom), Central Receiving, Surplus & Relocation, Recycling, Parking Services, and the Copy & Print Center. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Excellent customer service skills. * Strong interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. * Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow procedures and regulations. * General computer experience in a work environment. * Demonstrated attention to detail. Preferred: * Working knowledge of USPS policy and regulations. * Working knowledge of FedEx and/or UPS policies and procedures. * Operational knowledge of metered mail machines. * Operational knowledge of relevant equipment: forklift, hand trucks, dolly, pallet jack. TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in customer-service field in a professional environment. REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent. On the job training provided. Current Alaska Drivers License and ability to meet UA Safe Driver Criteria is mandatory.
