Construction Shop Assistant, $1,000 signing bonus!

The Wall Doctor, Inc., located in Bellevue, restores and renovates, single-family homes, multi-family homes, condominiums, and small commercial spaces, in the Puget Sound area. We are looking for a Construction Shop Assistant to join our team. General: • Knowledge of construction tools, equipment, & materials • Carpentry & construction labor knowledge is a plus! • Clear communication & professional attitude with customers, coworkers & office • Maintain a clean cut, professional persona in front of customers and coworkers (shirts provided) • Attention to detail & excellent organizational skills • Works well independently & with a team • Self-starter & initiative • Accurately completes timecards and paperwork • Strictly follow company safety rules and procedures • Punctual- Monday to Friday: 7am to 4pm (1 hour lunch) • 3 years’ plus experience preferred Duties include the items below, BUT we expect you to be able to prioritize and implement any new duties as assigned AND have the initiative to inquire if additional steps/procedures or processes would be beneficial to the task. Duties: • Prepare shop materials & tools for crews • Loading/unloading & securing materials & tools for jobs • Able to maneuver a 3500 truck with a 12’ trailer around job sites & the dump (No CDL required) • General shop/yard safety, organization, maintenance & upkeep • Storage, repair, & maintenance of material and equipment • Inventory & restock materials, tools, & items needed for equipment • Provide support for crews (material runs, load/unload materials, help with jobs as needed, etc.) • Run safety meetings & manage documents & signage • Fleet Management of vehicles oil changes & maintenance Requirements for the position: • Personal working tools • Lift 50+ pounds & be capable of standing for long periods of time • Unrestricted WA State driver's license and clean driving record • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Pass Background Check • Must have reliable transportation • 18 years or older Excellent benefits package: • COMPANY VEHICLE SUPPLIED during work hours -after probation period • Paid Sick Leave • Medical, Dental, Vision, & Life after probation period -employer pays 50% • Paid Holidays • Cell Phone Allowance Compensation: • We will pay you a $1000.
