Warehouse Assistant – Job Description General warehouse support in a small business setting for two companies: Preservation Solutions, a wood treatment and leather care company and, Advanced Tanning Solutions, a company producing products to treat hair-on tanning for the taxidermy and fur dressing industry. This is a part-time, physical position providing support to the warehouse manager with daily production and shipping functions. Job duties include but are not limited to: - Work closely with warehouse manager on preparing (labeling), packing and shipping orders - Building pallets, stacking and shrink wrapping - Forklift moving, loading and unloading pallets from trucks - Ability to safely move 55-gallon drums on a drum cart - Ability to lift and move up to 50 lb boxes - Keep warehouse clean, orderly and stocked - Receive and check in and put away inbound shipments - Misc. product production as needed (bottling and labeling) Experience: Prior general warehouse experience desired. Forklift certification desired or the ability to become certified. Reliable transportation needed to and from warehouse. Desired Skills: An innovative thinker who is self motivated and can work independently. Who will also take initiative to manage needed duties in absence of warehouse manager. Ability to work with others in a fast- paced environment. Good oral and written communication skills. Willing to perform other misc. duties as needed as both companies continue to grow. Work Schedule Position is non-benefited, part time, 4 to 5 days per week, 15-20 hours per week. Possible additional hours as needed during busy season.
