JOB STARTS SEPTEMBER 6 @ 7AM THEY DO ROTATE SHIFTS SO YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS WHEN NEEDED (12 HOUR SHIFTS) Apply at: 1717 Turning Basin Dr #205 Houston TX 77029 Job description: Inspects and moves containers and dry vans to and from the sea bulk line Utilizes heavy equipment and performs a variety of physical and labor-intensive tasks to move cargo and trailers around plant property Safely operates a Yard Mule Truck and assists with the loading of freight Performs pre-shift mechanical inspection of assigned company truck (Yard Mule), truck cargo, equipment and supplies, such as fire extinguisher, tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water Couples and uncouples trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air Maneuvers trucks into loading or unloading positions and verifies that the vehicle and loading equipment are positioned properly and secured safely Requirements: Capable of working in the outside environment and its elements Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations Ability to lift 25lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Ability to read numbers and labels understand verbal and written instructions, effectively communicate in writing and verbally to observe safety precautions Mandatory – Valid Driver’s License Must have TWIC Card * They must carry these 2 documents at all times in order to be transported throughout the shipyard.
