Description
The file clerk role is a 12-month contract role, with a local power provider. Mail Services clerk to assist with processing mail, receiving, packaging, and shipping. Responsible for conducting operations consistent with client rules, regulations, and reporting requirements. Utilize computerized equipment, reporting systems and tools. Must use good judgment and initiative in accurately managing day to day transactions which include, but are not limited to receiving, shipping, sorting, storing, issuing, transporting, and accounting for a variety of materials, supplies, and equipment. • Responsible for maintaining and promoting an environment of stewardship towards client inventory and assets. • Safely and competently operates all equipment associated with role. • Interfaces with Supply Chain and Customer Service partners to meet client requirements and ensures follow up communications and resolution on work requests. • Inspect and verifies incoming goods against packing tickets or other documents, records discrepancies and rejects damaged goods. • Utilizes computerized management systems and tools for the planning, assigning, tracking, and reporting of work activities. • Assembles shipping containers, kit and pack customer deliverables, prepare for inserting and apply shipping labels as required. • Create and ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents, travelers and packing lists. • Identify appropriate transportation methods to meet customer delivery requirements and coordinate with transport companies to arrange pick-up. • Expedite, track or return material that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders. • Monitor, requisition and store materials to maintain inventory of stock required to meet project work schedules. • Monitor receiving and shipping procedures to ensure that products are unloaded, received, put away, selected, and loaded in the most efficient manner. • Safely handles/processes hazardous materials and various other regulated substances according to state and federal standards.
