Need vintage Jaguar mechanic

I have a 1986 Jaguar XJ6 that has developed a starting issue. I know the car and do all my own service, but this issue is perplexing me. I am looking to see if there is an "old-timer" in the area that knows vintage Jags of this era. The best place, Flying Circus in Durham, is booked out for months, so trying to see if anyone out there has this knowledge. Will pay well.
