Most (99%) of Russian tortoise in the market are wild caught unless it’s hatchling. I spend my last 4 year only get one baby hatched successfully. This is not normal Russian tortoise you spend 100-200 get from reptile show or pet smart. Those are wild caught animal illegally imported to unite state and full of parasite. This little munchkin breed by my long term cared adult( more than 8 years). And she is keep separately with extra care. I lost the breeding female this will be the last one from me for a while. This is yearling Russian is super healthy kept outdoor enclosure. She is stronger than hatchlings and still small so she will be suitable for families want raise tortoise from early age which is very hard to find.
