Beyond saddened that I am needing to do this but I need to re-home my 4 year old Lab/Belgian Malinois mix Axel. Axel is a very smart dog with lots of energy. Sadly between me and my boyfriend working full time we are not able to give him the time and attention he needs. He has had some training at Petsmart and is very good with commands and is very treat driven. He is a very good dog but he does bark when he hears a noise or something unfamiliar to him, just due to his protective nature. He is good with other dogs once warmed up to them. But it does take him a little bit of time to warm up. I am asking that whoever wants to adopt axel does have a lot of free time so he can be walked/ trained almost daily. He is a very energetic dog that can get destructive if not exercised. Axel has also been around kids of all ages and is okay with them but would prefer him to only be around older ones since he can get a little too crazy for a younger kid. I am also asking that he be placed in a home with someone who has Malinois/German Shephard experience since he is a higher energy dog. I will consider someone who does not have this experience if they are really interested but will need to show they will do what it takes to help control his energy. I am asking a $100 rehoming fee just to make sure he is placed with someone who will really take care of him. He is up to date on all of his shots and vaccines, he is also neutered and microchipped. Along with Axel I will give you his cage, food bowl, leash and some bags of treats. Please email or text if you have any further questions or would like some other pictures of him.
