Description

The college fair is the culminating event of the UNCF Portfolio Project, an 11 week program that prepares students to successfully apply to college and obtain scholarships. The project includes assisting students to complete at least one college application, SAT prep, college essays and FAFSA applications. We have learned that the application process is one of the most challenging elements of helping students successfully enter higher education, which is why every student is assigned a mentor to help guide them through this vital undertaking. UNCF Portfolio Students are provided the tools they need to confidently meet with recruiters and prepared to enter college dressed for success! UNCF of the Pacific Northwest is planning for this year to be hugely successful in highlighting HBCU’s and other Universities in a big way for students in our area. I want to assure you this will be time well spent. Recruiters who have previously attended said “I am really surprised by the incredible turnout and enthusiasm! We did not expect this from the Pacific Northwest. What a great event!”
