Join Veronica Cotter with Hahnemühle USA in a discussion about the importance of printing and paper choice. Consider the significance of Matte, Glossy, Textured, Warm Tone, Cool Tone, Neutral Tone, Metallic, Natural Fibers, Cotton, and Alpha Cellulose when selecting a paper. The discussion will include an overview of creative applications, including postcards, holiday cards, home décor, portable portfolios, books, and more. Devin Belmain, Glazer’s digital printing expert, will explain the fundamentals of printing. He will also make prints to demonstrate a variety of clever DIY options. Each participant is encouraged to bring a file to print. Time permitting we will get to as many as possible. WHERE TO MEET & REGISTRATION Where to Meet The Classroom on the 2nd Floor. Registration and Seating This session takes place in the Glazer's Classroom which has limited seating, as a result, registration may not guarantee a seat. Seating will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis. ABOUT VERONICA COTTERVeronica Cotter is the Western Region/Education Development Manager for Hahnemühle USA. Her interest in printing and the link between image and paper choice first began 30+ years ago. Her connection to darkroom and transition to digital continues to inform the discussion about the importance of printing, especially in a time of growing screen fatigue, in tandem with the need to explore the meaningful relationship between idea, image and paper choice.
