The Lamastus Family are major contributors to Panamanian specialty coffee, especially Wilford Lamastus Sr., who is a key figure in the creation and organization of the annual auction of the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama. He has also achieved multiple score and price records in the Best of Panama competitions. The first private auction last year was a huge success, breaking the record with $4100/lb. We were honored to win the Elida Aguacate lot last year with a price of $555.50/lb. We will be participating in the private auction this year as well. We are hosting this cupping in the hopes that our customers can also taste some of the best auction coffees. In order to ensure a great cupping experience, we set the capacity of this event to 8 people. Please refrain from wearing strong perfume or colognes as the scent might affect the evaluation of the coffees.
