The annual Hope Summit, initiated by State Representative Carl O. Sherman in partnership with Dr. Joseph Seabrooks, President of the Dallas College Cedar Valley Campus, will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Cedar Valley Campus.  This event works to collectively discuss issues and develop solutions that lead to systemic change in criminal justice reform efforts in the areas of policing, courts, prison reform, community supervision, reentry and family reunification in the State of Texas. This summit brings together community networks, businesses, non-profit organizations, and government officials to discuss the current and future state of criminal justice reform in Texas, as well as to learn of best practices from across the country.   The purpose of the event is to provide a comprehensive process for change to the current system using an active plan of action.
