The Women With Promise Scholarship Program began in 2018 as part of our commitment to make a difference in the lives of North Texas women. To date, we've assisted 12 Scholars and had 2 graduates! We offer women the opportunity to begin or restart their journey toward a college degree. Higher education is a life-changing path that opens new career opportunities with the prospect of financial enrichment and a higher quality of life. Our annual Scholarship Luncheon is a wonderful time to celebrate our Scholars and Graduates, and to thank our caring community of difference makers whose contributions and mentorship have made such an impact in these women's lives. Join us for "A Sweet Celebration" luncheon and special sweets sampler at the Arts District Mansion (formerly the Belo Mansion). Bring your friends and network with purpose, meeting other like-minded women and hear from inspiring speaker Yasmeen Tadia, visionary, entrepreneur, strategist, speaker, Mom, and founder of Make Your Life Sweeter. Yasmeen transformed standard-issue, carnival cotton candy and popcorn into gourmet indulgences with her signature line of sweets sensations, including Fluffpop® Artisanal Mini Cotton Candy, Hotpoppin® Gourmet Popcorn, Sugaire USDA Certified Organic Cotton Candy, ModSweets, and her most recent creation, The Zphere. As a Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business grad, she spent 10 years in corporate America before starting Make Your Life Sweeter. However, her time spent in a variety of management positions, and later as the corporate director of human resources for the largest hospitality management company based in New York City, gave her the confidence kick she needed to turn her fluffy dream into a reality. Yasmeen's creations have been served at a who's who of corporate clientele including, The Met, Facebook, Saks Fifth Avenue, Stella McCartney, Gucci and more. She's also a popular public speaker, educating audiences across the world about human resources, entrepreneurship, small business, women owned business, reaching millennials and more.
