Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the South Houston Branch Library as we present Fiesta @ HCPL at Avenue A Park, right next door to the South Houston Branch Library! This free festival includes live music and dance, craft and activity stations, children's authors, food, and fun for the whole family! Best of all, kids will get free books while supplies last! Featured entertainment includes: Creepy Creatures Galore-Storytime by author Xavier Garza featuring La Llorona Can’t Scare Me / La Llorona no me asusta (with free book giveaway). Storytime by author Jasminne Mendez featuring her new book Josefina’s Habichuelas/Las habichuelas de Josefina (with free book giveaway). Ballet Folklorico by dance group The Essence of Mexico. Latin Strings and Percussion by Apollo Chamber Players and guests. And much more! As always, this event is 100% free.
