Worship Director Job Description Who we are: Northside Community Church is located in Bellingham, WA and is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. NCC is a multigenerational church that is focused on growing younger. Average Sunday attendance is between 50-75 with church membership around 150. The church has enjoyed 100 years of existence and recently had their pastor of 22 years retire. It currently has an intentional interim pastor leading the transition and will be searching for a new head pastor. NCC has a beautiful building and a passion for following Jesus and compassionately serving others. Two other worship leaders attend and will be able to fill in monthly for the new worship director. Requirements: Statement of faith. A passion for Jesus and His words and commands. Proficiency with at least one instrument and ability to sing. Role: Write a monthly schedule for the worship team, including media and soundboard. Lead worship three Sundays per month. Write a set list for Sundays leading. Lead practices on Sunday prior to the service. Recruit new worship team members. Equip and train new worship team members. Work with the Children’s Ministry team to plan special events such as Christmas and Easter. Meet with the Head Pastor once per month to align goals and vision. Be a part of the broader NCC community and engage with the congregation. What you will bring to NCC: A passion for worshiping Jesus! A compassion for serving others within the church and in the greater Whatcom County. A servant’s heart. Leading joyful and Spirit filled worship. The ability to work in a multigenerational church. Ability to lead modern songs as well as hymns. Proficient at your instrument and ability to sing. A Biblical understanding of worship. A desire to help NCC grow. Some other things we hope you bring but are not make or break: Ability to play multiple instruments. A vision for long term growth for the worship team. Ability to work more hours as NCC grows. Compensation: 10 hours per week. This may grow as NCC grows. $10,800/yr. This wage will be re-evaluated on an annual basis. As NCC grows and your role grows, so will the compensation.
