The 2022 MADT Student Convention will be held at Mound Westonka High School on October 15th!  We have some incredible instructors on board, including three amazing college dance teams - the University of Minnesota Dance Team, the University of Minnesota - Duluth Dance Team and the St. Cloud State University Dance Team. Along with many other amazing instructors for both our active and classroom classes, we are also VERY excited to welcome TRIBE 99 for our master class! TRIBE 99 is a nation-wide leader in dance education and choreography...most recently known for choreographing the amazing 2022 LSU Tiger Girls National Championship routine! The convention offers a wide variety of movement classes like Jazz Technique, Kick Technique, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. In addition to that, we have College Pom, Leaps and Jumps, Turns/Core/Balance, Improv and more! There are great classroom based offerings, too - Strength Training for Turns & Leaps, Planning Your Dances, Leadership, Injury Prevention, and Team Building for Positive Team Culture just to name a few! VIEW CLASS DESCRIPTIONS HERE! Master Class Instructor - Hailey Willis from Tribe99! Hailey has been dancing since the age of three at Impressions Dance Studio in Dayton, Ohio where she trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, pom, lyrical, tap, and hip-hop. Hailey is a graduating member of the Ohio State University dance team where she has won seven national titles in jazz, pom, and gameday as well as a first-place finish at UDA College Camp for home routine. As a member of the team, Hailey was sole captain of the 2022 year where they took home three national titles at the UDA Collegiate National Championship. She has assisted in choreographing game day material as well as teaching combos. She is graduating with a degree in Human Development and Family Science to eventually become a teacher, but she ultimately wants to explore dance and choreography after she graduates. Hailey has had the opportunity to learn from world-renowned choreographers in the dance team and studio industry such as Rudy Abreu, Douglas Burkhardt, and Shannon Mather. She has choreographed pieces for her studio where she frequently returns to choreograph and teach technique classes. Hailey has been an apprentice choreographer for Tribe99 for two years and is excited to step into the professional world. She has a passion for dance that she can't wait to share with others and hopes to inspire dancers with her love of the sport.
