Dear Lar, I can agree that not all democrats/liberals/leftists are not anti gun or anti 2a, however it is ALWAYS I support the 2nd amendment, but......... (place excuse here). Yes, you are absolutely correct, guns in the hands of the mentally unstable are usually not the best of ideas, but even the mentally ill are protected by the 2nd amendment until they commit a crime barring them from legal ownership. Most firearms used in mass shootings are stolen or illegally purchased by prohibited people, showing the 20k anti- gun, unconstitutional gun laws on the books do nothing to stop criminals, but a good guy with a gun constitutionally protected to carry that weapon always will if one is nearby. If you reside in Colorado, we are a non-registry state, so by claiming you have a registered firearm in this state I see through some of your bullshit. When you mentioned January 6th, it was confirmed. The videos that the mainstream media failed to show you of the antifa group making mention of dressing in maga gear to storm the capitol building in cognito were quickly suppressed along with the videos of capitol police ushering people in and the elderly real Trump supporters minding the velvet guide ropes. There was no insurrection committed by the real maga crowd, you saw and heard exactly what the "higher up" democrats and media wanted you to. Trump said "peacefully and patrioticly go and have your voices heard" that is not suggesting violence in any way, and as a veteran you should be disgusted that the ONLY person to die that day was an unarmed veteran by the name of Ashli Babbitt, gunned down and murdered by capitol police, when she stood up on something to see better, probably by Nancy Pelosi's order. I watched the actual video of her being shot, it's heartbreaking to see that still unnamed police officer decide to shoot someone who served our country. Civil War is virtually guaranteed to be started by the extreme left democrats we have in office, by way of "Assault weapons bans", instead of the same group of people starting the first Civil War because they didn't want to free their slaves, that was the democrats my friend, the first republican was responsible for freeing those slaves. There was never a political shift on the matter, southern people moved north and northern people moved south but kept their political beliefs. Saying you've never used the ar15 you claim to own is concerning. You should take it to the range and enjoy it. The likelihood of you actually needing it in survival or warfare and being successful without major familiarity will ultimately become your demise, and chances are, you'll be shooting at another democrat when you do actually need it. Concealed carry permits, along with any other regulation of a firearm are unconstitutional, if you really supported the 2nd amendment enough to carry a firearm daily you should encourage everyone you know to write Polis and demand constitutional carry, Colorado would become a much safer place in a hurry! Most of those "gun free zones" are also where quite a few democrats like to gather in mass, if we don't gather in mass, it makes mass shootings much harder to accomplish. If we must gather in mass I'd rather make a potential mass shooter very nervous in knowing he may have HUNDREDS of weapons being fired back in their direction immediately, wouldn't you? Only person I've ever heard threaten to attack a NRA convention was a far left democrat on youtube that asked his very small following to "bomb that building", but the video was sourced from a different video platform. He said this after claiming conservatives and the maga crowd were the main source of violence the last few years, but look into a little boy named Cannon Hinnant and see what happened to him, and by whome. I'll give you a hint, the black lives matter movement/organization that has been highly celebrated by white liberals, committed one of the most atrocious acts committed in the last 3 years.
